I suppose by 2009 too many websites, the terrible economy, video sidebar and podcast glut, etc., all that stuff happening at the same time meant kaput for TS. They came along later in the 2002 period after internet-#1 had bust.

They didn't have mommy's and daddy's money, and they didn't work full careers and raise a family until middle age before they started heavily contributing to the media side of our sport. TS were blue collar kids who tried to do something useful for our sport and it didn't work out. I have no doubt it will do so for you as well, TB.Take care,T. Despite a few setbacks, this quote has continued to hold true for me. As someone once told me, "You're one of those guys who will always land on their feet". Monitors about 40 switches, 5 routers and a few servers. He is too smart, savvy and motivated to let a minor setback like this deter him from his vision of track & field.TB - great job. I have a cacti (0.8.7c) installation on a CentOS box. He took a chance, stuff happened.Much like many visionaries before him, and I DO mean a visionary, sometimes it takes a couple tries before a person finds their niche.I have NO DOUBT TB will find that niche. To think he had to prior planning or thought is preposterous. For at least 15 years now, he has wanted to devote all his time to the publicity of track & field. This endeavor was undertaken well after the dotcom bust.

I wish I had the stones to do what TB has attempted to do.It was only through his desire to devote ALL his time, free or not, that he sold the site to another company. For a guy to devote ALL, and I mean ALL, of his free time from the age of 19 until now to attempt to publicize the sport he loves, boggles my mind. TB's devotion to the sport is unparalleled. This was back when the internet was brand new and, thus, a great new medium to disseminate and discuss information about relevant group topics.Of course, many people will always choose to abuse this privilege and make comments under the guise of anonymity. I was told about this post and felt it necessary to respond.TB ran two websites in college. If you’re a Mac-using lawyer (or WANT to be) I highly recommend looking at and the conference schedule.Gosh - it's kind of sad when the only time I get contacted about posts on LetsRun is when it's something disparaging.

The conference was formerly called “ MILOfest” and re-branded this year to reflect the growth of the educational opportunities over the past 8 years. I am honored to be speaking at the MacTrack Legal Conference again on October 6-8, 2016. This paper deals with the introduction of acceleration measurement techniques on the Central Line of London Underground.
